We are thrilled to be back producing this ongoing monthly Cabaret Show, created to support community artists and provide a creative outlet for performers, patrons and the audience at large. Each month we will present a brand new show (lightly themed), offering a chance to highlight performers of all kinds. |
Season 1 of the Pear Pressure Cabaret Show was a terrific success with nine monthly performances, with over one hundred songs performed and new community performers added each month.

WHAT IS A CABARET SHOW?
What is a Cabaret Show you might ask?
Simply put, a cabaret is halfway between a concert and a musical - often with minimal staging and props, usually with a theme to connect performances, songs and to give the audience an idea as to what might be in store.
This can include spoken word and poetry, original music or standards. There can be comedy performances, magic or puppetry, the possibilities are endless. Plus with a community cabaret we are able to bring in performers that are our neighbors, friends and family.
Ultimately the idea of a Cabaret Show is to have a special ONE NIGHT ONLY event and we want you to be a part of it.

PERFORMER INFO
Each show is comprised of volunteer performers that audition virtually - auditions for our August and September shows are now open. You will be required to record a 90 second video of you performing the song you selected for the show. If selected we will contact you about possibly coming in for a rehearsal or to discuss your performance. Note: we will require each performer to attend a mandatory dress rehearsal, additional rehearsal opportunities will be made available but only the dress is mandatory. Note 2: These are all volunteer positions but a small stipend of $20 will be available for each performer to help with travel costs. |
Our March & April Cabaret Show
The March show will highlight ONE HIT WONDERS with selections from the 70's through today, from bands and artists that only had a single recognizable hit song. You'll definitely find a song you like and it will be an amazing show filled with music you know and love.
The April show will continue with more Pop Up Radio and NUMBER ONES. Simply put, these will be any song that hit the Billboard Top 100 chart at Number One from the 70's until now. So many incredible songs to choose from, we are asking for submissions to both shows, so get your auditions ready.
